Poet and translator.

Born on 6th February 1992 in the province of Sêrt (Siirt), Esen graduated from the Faculty of Education at Siirt University in 2014. He continues his graduate work in the Department of Kurdish Language and Culture of Mardin Artuklu University. He received First Prize of the Arjen Arî Poetry Competition with his poetry book titled Qijikên Xêrê (The Harbinger Crows) in 2014. He has participated in several literary organizations across the various regions of Northern Kurdistan. He continues writing poetry and translating. Selamî Esen lives in Siirt.
